The Desert Rainbow Foundation (a non-profit 501-(c)-(3) charitable organization) organizes community fund-raising events to support people in need, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, religion or social standing. We do this by awarding scholarships to deserving students and Teddy Bears to children in crisis. The Foundation is managed by a group of volunteers with no paid staff or rented office space. It relies on an elected Board of Directors and many valley residents who are generous with their time, talents and financial resources.
Originally founded as the fund raising arm of the Desert Business Association in 1994, the organization changed it's name to the Desert Rainbow Foundation in 2001.
Today The Desert Rainbow Foundation raises money for student scholarships and also coordinates events to acknowledge the contributions of local citizens throughout the Coachella Valley.
